The Praybeyt Benjamin "Fever"?

Yes, i am guilty enough to say, that i was one of the contributors to the 300 million (and running) gross of this movie. My wife is very interested in watching this, and admitted that she wants to watch it because Anne Curtis watched it. Indeed proven as box office as it created terrible long lines. It may seem like exaggerated but the line went through each schedule for 12 stalls! Impatient as I am especially seeing the long lines, i invited her instead for Puss in Boots. She said she wanted Praybeyt Benjamin as she wants to laugh. And so we watched it despite the annoying long lines. Question is, is it worth it?

The advantage of staying in the line for too long as you are ready to watch, is you get to see the REAL reactions of people that comes out of the cinema, not the one's shown on commercial in which they were obviously forced to say something nice. Yep, we saw them all, the parents, the thunders, the children, even the gays and the famous. Most of them are frowning, disappointed. I saw felt tragic and wistful. And so it gave an initial impression.

Here are my personal ratings for each (out of 5 stars):
Plot:
There were a lot of unnecessary scenes in the movie such as imitating the angry birds and the expression about discriminating the gay soldier. They were actually trying to create a scenario that would show that would portrait an underdog in a form of a gay, but they were so obvious that you know what will happen next.

Character:
The lineup of the characters were solid. I like the fact that each trainee soldier of Vice Ganda has their own strengths and weaknesses. Adding Jimmy Santos and Eddie Garcia in the line up is classic. The characters were likable. There was one scene however that made it corny, it is the part where Derek Ramsey delivered gay lingos. It didn't convince of the character's being.

Diction:
There were a lot of scenes in which there were obviously ropes, harness and special effects used in the film. Yup, too obvious indeed.

Melody:
Music was not utilized in the movie. I guess they were only trying to highlight the jokes of the main character.

Spectacle:
Just like in showtime, i am looking for the wow-factor as well. And there's none. Is it the kissing scene? The day-dreaming scene? Nah. A movie that we should've just waited to be  aired on cinema one. Something that you would not like to talk about after watching the movie, which obviously showed to the others who we saw coming out of the theater. The gag is there, there was definitely comedy. If that's the only thing they were trying to achieve, then they made it. However the jokes were definitely predictable. They will simply not answer directly and point to a totally different context, defined as "Nang-babara/namimilosopo".

The elements were poor. It was never good, not awful, but it's not worth the PHP130. My wife and i both agreed that we should've watched Puss in Boots instead.
